I used to believe that democrats were merely a misinformed bunch of bitter malcontents. But in recent years I have come to realize that they actually consist of 0.0001% very smart, but evil, lawyer-types. The remaining 99.9999% are definitely (as you put it) complete and utter dumb asses.
