Profiling

Let's assume you are an FBI agent in charge of investigating terrorist activity. Where would you spend most of your time?

1) Bingo halls full of 75 year old Catholic women?
2) Men's bowling leagues?
3) Corporate board rooms?
4) A Natalie Merchant concert?
5) A mosque?

Maybe a better way to ask this question is where do you think you're more abt to find these 31 people on the FBI's most wanted terrorist list.

It seems to me that you would be hard pressed to find any of these guys heading up a boy scout troop.

Only one of these clowns is an American, Daniel Andreas San Diego. Probably a tea partier, right?

This is his hit list............

San Diego has ties to animal rights extremist groups. He is known to follow a vegan diet, eating no meat or food containing animal products. In the past, he has worked as a computer network specialist and with the operating system LINUX. San Diego wears eyeglasses, is skilled at sailing, and has traveled internationally. He is known to possess a handgun.

Daniel Andreas San Diego is wanted for his alleged involvement in two bombings in the San Francisco, California, area. On August 28, 2003, two bombs exploded approximately one hour apart on the campus of a biotechnology corporation in Emeryville. Then, on September 26, 2003, one bomb strapped with nails exploded at a nutritional products corporation in Pleasanton. San Diego was indicted in the United States District Court, Northern District of California, in July of 2004.

Sounds like a regular dyed in the wool NRA member. Since he is known to possess a handgun, I'm thinking the FBI should probably look into every state's concealed carry permit holders. I'm sure he probably has one.

Seriously, aren't you seriously discrimating when you suggest that every single one of these people is.........a man? Not one woman on this list? For crying out loud women represent 52% of the population yet have no representatives on this list.

How about some African American? or Mexicans? Or heaven forbid an Asian or two.

It's a good thing TSA is frisking 70 year old diabetic amputees or we may never find these guys.

Let's give more of these people amnesty..............

as more tax fraud continues........................

When a woman named Veronica tried to cash a federal income tax refund check for $8,113 April 5 at a Sampson County check-cashing business, instead of a handful of cash she was greeted by members of the Sampson County sheriff’s office who suspected that her tax refund was the result of a fraudulent tax return.

Deputies were acting on a tip that the IRS had issued the check to Veronica, who had used a fictitious identity and reported fictitious earnings on her individual income tax return. Carolina Journal independently confirmed that her refund claim was fraudulent.

They detained Veronica, seized the check, which had been issued March 22, and made a copy of the tax return and a driver’s license from Honduras that she used at the check cashing business to establish her identity.

The same day, deputies discovered that four men were attempting a similar scheme, cashing IRS refund checks using phony identities. Altogether, deputies intercepted five IRS checks totaling $34,380. Veronica and the four men had documents showing them to be from Honduras.

But on the bright side, at least she isn't getting welfare money to plant bombs at a marathon.

Still like don't ask don't tell

Last weekend, the Gekko's were out for a romantic evening when the Lovely Mrs. Gekko asked "Do you know what gender Jason Collins is attracted to?"

At the time, I didn't know but I guess everyone has to know now.

I don't get why people feel the need report their sexual preferences to others.

Do you feel better knowing that I'm attracted to young Phillipino babes with big boobs? Or maybe I've got a teacher fetish that can only be satisfied with with a babe in bifocals and a business suit? Chubby Chaser? Golden Showers? a little necrophilia? How about old Gordon naked (except for the leather chaps) on a Jungle Jim? Still interested?

Seriously, I care about as much about who Jason Collins is attracted to as he is in my sexual interests.......which is none. Yet, for a group who is big about wanting people out of their bed rooms, they seem hell bent on reporting what goes on in theirs.

For the record, here is a partial list of people who I don't want to know who they are sleeping with......

Bronson Arroyo
Teri Hatcher
The Big Show
Claire McCaskill
Adele
Any of the Kardashians
Jesse Jackson
Keith Richards
Anthony Weiner
Betty White
Clint Eastwood
Tim Tebow
Kid Rock ................................

I'm not asking and thank you for not telling.

More on the rampant tax fraud in this country

We see it more and more.............

Stolen identity refund fraud is so rampant that J. Russell George, Treasury inspector general for tax administration, dubbed it 2013’s “No. 1 tax scam.” However, it has been going on for some time.

He reported that the IRS processed 1.5 million undetected stolen-identity returns during the 2010 tax year, 641,000 in 2011, and 1.2 million in the 2012 tax year, representing $5.2 billion in lost federal dollars.

Those committing this kind of fraud are brazen. For instance, someone filed 2,137 tax returns to the IRS in 2010 and used the same return address in Lansing, Mich. The illegal take from those returns totaled $3,316,051, according to the IRS.

That was not the only address to which hundreds of fraudulently obtained IRS refund checks were sent. Some 765 similar refunds went to the same address in Chicago (totaling $903,084), and 741 to the same address in Belle Glade, Fla. (totaling $1,004,897).

The magnitude of stolen identity fraud affecting the North Carolina Department of Revenue is unclear.

What I learned during tax season

Now that tax season is over and I've cleaned up some of the fallout, let me share some notes from what I observed during my practice........

1) Tax preparers have slowly become quasi government social workers. Helping the derelicts of society fill out their welfare applications for big bucks (see earned income credit and american opportunity credit)

2) As a result of these credits which exist for simply existing, we are now surprised there's rampant fraud in the system?

3) Our office did four tax returns for deceased people, each one of those clients have had problems with identity theft.

4) The more the government tries to attack wealth in this country, the more it does nothing but hurt hard working Americans. This year I did more tax returns with W-2 in excess of $1 million than ever (4). I also did more tax returns for people on unemployment.

5) For those who are chronically unemployed, good luck trying to get a decent job.

6) The clients of my small little office in the middle of nowhereville paid in excess of nine million in federal income taxes alone. Think about the amount of money when you extrapolate that across the country.

7) To call our current system of revenue generation an income tax is stupidity in the first order. A person making $60,000 a year may pay as much as $15,000 in federal income tax or as little as zero, nada, nothing. The Romans had more "fair" standard of taxation.

8) If these guys "simplify" the tax code any further, I'll be a freakin' millionaire a couple of times over.

9) I'm glad it's over.
