Who did they vote for? #101

Meet this motley crew.

Why are they in the news?

Three Mason residents each face up to 19 years in prison on charges they lured a woman to their trailer and forcibly held her down while trying to cut off her fingers with pruning loppers.

A Warren County grand jury Friday indicted Gerald Moore Jr., 49, Shena Moore, 24, and John Gulley, 31, on felony charges of kidnapping and felonious assault.

Police say Shena Moore, a student, and the 27-year-old victim were friends until Moore’s boyfrend, Gulley, began sending the victim flirtatious text messages.

Warren County Prosecutor David Fornshell said Moore invited her friend to her home in the 700 block of Reading Road May 5 to discuss the rift.

With friends like these who needs......friends.

So in the last election, did these fine citizens vote for Romney or Obama?

Thank you for borrowing money for my education

The student loan program has turned into a program where lower class, marginal student borrow student loan money to pay for inflated tuition so that schools can lower the tuition from smart kids from affluent families.......

At least 15 states have explicit policies under which some of the revenue from students who pay tuition at public universities goes to others who can’t cover the full cost, according to the State Higher Education Executive Officers, or SHEEO. In Arizona, for example, public universities channel about a quarter of tuition revenue into discounts, grants and other forms of financial aid. In North Carolina, at least 25 percent of money generated by any increase in tuition goes to such subsidies, while in California it is one-third of each tuition increase.

Donna Rosato of Money magazine talks about how to cut costs on college tuition and the strategies parents can use to make their child’s bachelor’s degree more affordable for the family.

Critics say this penalizes not only full-tuition-paying, high-income parents and their students, but also middle-class families already being squeezed by escalating costs. In June, the Iowa Board of Regents ordered the practice to end in that state within five years. There, some $144 million a year in financial aid is redistributed to low-income students — as well as high-achievers who don’t qualify for federal aid — from the tuition their classmates pay. The regents called for the portion of tuition that now goes to truly needy students to be replaced by contributions from the universities’ fundraising arms.

Similar appeals have come from the governor of Virginia, Arizona legislators and members of the University of North Carolina Board of Governors.

Since universities are also offering more scholarships to students with high grade-point averages and SAT scores, which elevates them in the all-important U.S. News World Report college rankings — and since many of those top students come from affluent families and don’t qualify for federal aid, Gillen said another trend is at work. “Rich, dumb kids,” he said, “are subsidizing rich, smart kids.”

Why you should own guns

A long time ago, liberals would say things like this amongst themselves in a coffee shop in the Castro District.

Then, MSNBC gave these nut jobs a national forum to spew their hate.

Now, alleged mainstream newspapers print this vitriol............

Here it is. The NRA advocates armed rebellion against the duly elected government of the United States of America. That's treason, and it's worthy of the firing squad. The B.S. needs a serious gut check. We are not a tin pot banana republic where machine gun toting rebel groups storm the palace and depose the dictator.
We put the president in the White House. To support the new NRA president's agenda of arming the populace for confrontation with the government is bloody treason. And many invite it gladly as if the African-American president we voted for is somehow infringing on their Constitutional rights.
Normally, I am a peaceable man, but in this case, I am willing to answer the call to defend the country. From them.

Isn't this the hilarity of it all. We have our guns to save our nation from this clowns.

Seriously, this guy is a college professor? Does he not get the irony of grabbing people who do not agree with the government being subjected to a firing squad is the very reason the second amendment exists in the first place?

BTW, if this clown wants to come for my guns...... come and get them.

Follow up.

Here's a comment on this guy's take.....

His primary thesis is this:

Conservatives claim they need guns because they are all paranoid that they might have to defend themselves from a tyrannical government sending the army to crush dissent. That is SO paranoid and stupid. So much so that we must now send the army after you to crush your dissent.
Stop being so paranoid!
