Obamamania - Catch it

Amenities in "Progress" City

My buddy John in Northside made it point to inform me of the wonderful amenities for city dwellers after I ridiculed the city for not having a movie theater to watch The Dark Knight.

The city has all these wonderful amenities like the opera, symphony, Bengals, etc.

He forgot to mention 24/7 drugs and sex.

From the Enquirer.....

"Drugs & Sex For Sale 24/7."

That's his take on what's happening night and day on the sidewalks and pavement of Churchill Avenue.

The sign's fine print includes an SOS:

"Please help us, call Cincinnati City Council."

The sign is in orange and black, Bengals colors.

"I wanted to show my civic pride," Wallen said as he stood back to admire the sign hanging from his apartment building's second-floor porches. "I love this city."

A contractor by trade, Wallen unfurled the sign Friday in an effort to clean up Churchill. He's tired of the drug-dealing and prostitution polluting the neighborhood and driving away his tenants.

"I have six apartments. Only one is still rented," Wallen said. "My other tenant is moving out today."

Man, I wonder if i can petition the republican dominated suburb I live in to provide us with these amenities?

Can you say 6-10?

In a few short weeks... 50,000 clowns like this will be running around PBS.

Sumomania - Catch It!

Blog of the week

Scott Adams, creator of the comic strip Dilbert, had his own blog.

Some of it's funny like the strip but it's usually a collection of serious political & social thoughts.

Check it out.

Will on The Messiah

George Will on the democrats new favorite narcissist, Obawan...
Does Obama have the sort of adviser a candidate most needs — someone sufficiently unenthralled to tell him when he has worked one pedal on the organ too much? If so, Obama should be told: Enough, already, with the we-are-who-we-have-been-waiting-for rhetorical cotton candy that elevates narcissism to a political philosophy.

And no more locutions such as "citizen of the world" and "global citizenship." If they meant anything in Berlin, they meant that Obama wanted Berliners to know that he is proudly cosmopolitan. Cosmopolitanism is not, however, a political asset for American presidential candidates.

Least of all is it an asset for Obama, one of whose urgent needs is to seem comfortable with America's vibrant and very un-European patriotism, which is grounded in a sense of virtuous exceptionalism.

Otherwise, "citizen of the world" and "global citizenship" are, strictly speaking, nonsense. Citizenship is defined by legal and loyalty attachments to a particular political entity with a distinctive regime and culture. Neither the world nor the globe is such an entity.

Blue State Exodus

The American Legislative Exchange Council has ranking of states based on their future prosperity.

Ohio comes in at a cool 47th, right in front of Rhode Island, New York and Vermont.

You know what we need to get that business community going again? Seven paid sick days off for all full time employees.

On the right, you'll see the rankings for net migration in/out of the states. Is it just a coincidence that the bottom ten are all blue?

Just think. We don't need Moses to lead the Exodus in 2008. We just need some liberals running the state. People will leave on their own.

Anti drilling crusade hurts the environment

The anti drilling stalwarts are actually doing more to harm the environment.....

Charles Krauthammer lays it out.
A lovely sentiment. But has Pelosi actually thought through the moratorium's actual effects on the planet?

Consider: 25 years ago, nearly 60% of U.S. petroleum was produced domestically. Today it's 25%. From its peak in 1970, U.S. production has declined a staggering 47%. The world consumes 86 million barrels a day; the United States, roughly 20 million. We need the stuff to run our cars and planes and economy. Where does it come from?

Places like Nigeria, where chronic corruption, environmental neglect and resulting unrest and instability lead to pipeline explosions, oil spills and illegal siphoning by the poverty-stricken population — which leads to more spills and explosions.

Just this week, two Royal Dutch Shell pipelines had to be shut down because bombings by local militants were causing leaks into the ground.

Compare the Niger Delta with the Gulf of Mexico, where deep-sea U.S. oil rigs withstood Hurricanes Katrina and Rita without a single undersea well suffering a significant spill.

The United States has the highest technology to ensure the safest drilling. Today, directional drilling — essentially drilling down, then sideways — allows access to oil that in 1970 would have required a surface footprint more than three times as large.

Additionally, the U.S. has one of the most extensive and least-corrupt regulatory systems on the planet.

Does Pelosi imagine that with so much of America declared off-limits, the planet is less injured as drilling shifts to Kazakhstan and Venezuela and Equatorial Guinea? That Russia will be more environmentally scrupulous than we in drilling in its Arctic?

The net environmental effect of Pelosi's no-drilling willfulness is negative. Outsourcing U.S. oil production does nothing to lessen worldwide environmental despoliation. It simply exports it to more corrupt, less efficient, more unstable parts of the world — thereby increasing net planetary damage.

DUI checkpoint

I have to take back my criticism on the effectiveness of DUI checkpoints.

During last weekends raid the police caught this guy.....
A Delhi Township man accused of driving up to a sobriety checkpoint naked pleaded not guilty Monday.

Michael E. Weber, 37, allegedly also "threw a plastic glove onto the floorboard and was engaged in masturbation" during the checkpoint Saturday night on River Road, according to Hamilton County court records.

End the genocide

Meet Denino Harris...

He was gunned down last night in Roselawn.

The teen, identified this morning as Denino Harris of Roselawn, was shot in the chest about 10:50 p.m. inside an apartment in the 1600 block of Sparkle Drive, police said.

At the time, he was inside the apartment with at least two other people, said Sgt. Rudy Gruenke of the Cincinnati Police Homicide Unit.

Harris was taken to University Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The person who lives in the apartment is being interviewed this morning by investigators but, so far, he hasn’t been able to shed much light on what happened, Gruenke said.

The victim did not live in the apartment.

Investigators are trying to locate other witnesses. No arrests have been made.

This is the 38th homicide so far this year in Cincinnati. At this time last year, there were 41, Gruenke said.

There have been more young black males killed in the streets of Cincinnati this month than soldiers killed in Iraq.

A 17 year old kid killed in the street and what do you hear for your garden variety liberal?

Anyone? Anyone? Class?

"Progressives" are always quick to say that conservatives have no compassion yet in the inner cities that they run they just call the tragedy of Harris' death, Thursday night in the city.

No drilling at $10 a gallon

The video says it all.

What party is he?

From USA Today....

A SWAT team raided the home of a Washington, D.C.-area mayor, killing his two black Labrador retrievers and seizing an unopened package of marijuana delivered there.

Prince George's County Police said Berwyn Heights Mayor Cheye Calvo brought a 32-pound package of marijuana into his home that had been delivered by officers posing as delivery men. The Tuesday evening raid was conducted by county police narcotics officers and a sheriff's office SWAT Team.

No where in the article is this person's political affiliation mentioned.

So the question, what party is he?

Griifey Traded (not)

From WLW news

A deal has been worked out to send Ken Griffey Jr to the Chicago White Sox. Reports say that Junior still must approve the trade to Chicago before it can be finalized.

This has always been my pet peeve with the media; their definition of "news".

This is not news. This is speculation. How is it the media has no problem reporting this speculation on a baseball trade but offers nothing on the John Edwards love child?

When something actually happens, we'll let you know.

But he's The Messiah

Another liberal on the experience of one B. Obama.
"Just tell me one thing Barack Obama has done that you admire," I asked a prominent Democrat. He paused and then said that he admired Obama's speech to the Democratic convention in 2004. I agreed. It was a hell of a speech, but it was just a speech.

On the other hand, I continued, I could cite four or five actions -- not speeches -- that John McCain has taken that elicit my admiration, even my awe. First, of course, is his decision as a Vietnam War POW to refuse freedom out of concern that he would be exploited for propaganda purposes. To paraphrase what Kipling said about Gunga Din, John McCain is a better man than most.

But I would not stop there. I would include campaign finance reform, which infuriated so many in his own party; opposition to earmarks, which won him no friends; his politically imprudent opposition to the Medicare prescription drug bill (Medicare has about $35 trillion in unfunded obligations); and, last but not least, his very early call for additional troops in Iraq. His was a lonely position, virtually suicidal for an all-but-certain presidential candidate, and no help when his campaign nearly expired last summer. In all these cases, McCain stuck to his guns.

Once again, democrats get to choose between two democrats. When do republicans get a choice?

But they're Catholic

Over on the dark side, The New Republic, has a piece on how Obamamania's choice for Veep will be Catholic and how that may help him in the election.
Virginia Governor Tim Kaine and Kansas Governor Kathleen Sebelius reportedly sit on top of Barack Obama's vice presidential short list. In late June, Barack Obama called Sebelius "as talented a public official as there is right now," and just two days ago, Politico reported that Kaine was "very, very high" up in considerations for v.p. What binds these two--aside from being effective Democratic governors of red (or reddish) states--is that they're both Roman Catholic. And given the fact that Catholics were such a difficult group for Obama in the primaries, and that they heavily populate swing states like New Mexico and Pennsylvania, Sebelius's and Kaine's Catholicism should be a point in their favor. (Joe Biden, another short-lister, is Catholic as well.) But their similarities mask a surprising gulf: Sebelius and Kaine have had markedly different political relationships with the Church.

Sebelius attended a Catholic women's college, but she has not made her Catholicism a central part of her political biography. She has stated that her religious beliefs are private, a position that liberal Catholics have been taking ever since JFK. When she gave the Democratic response to the last State of the Union in January, she did not mention her own faith or the nation's, and she didn't describe any of the challenges facing the nation as moral challenges. This reticence to apply her faith to her political life has a downside: It has severely limited her ability to articulate a moral rationale for her commitment to other issues such as universal health care, which the Catholic Church considers a moral obligation that society owes its members.

Yeah, I remember how Catholicism helped President John Kerry.

Hair Ball bails out

John "Gee my hair smells terrific" Edwards announced that he's ending his college scholarship program.
Former North Carolina Sen. John Edwards is pulling the plug on a scholarship program he started at an Eastern North Carolina high school -- a program he once promised would be a model for the nation under an Edwards presidency.

Edwards' presidential hopes have evaporated. And he recently informed Greene County officials that he would end the pilot program at Greene Central High School.

It looks like it was a model for a federal program... ineffective.

Unlike a federal program though, it actually ended.

I'm sure Hair ball feels bad for the kids. But hey he's got another mouth to feed and some witnesses to keep quiet. You can't do all that on $600,000.

Let's bail these folks out

It's a good thing Bush signed that Fannie Mae bailout. We need to get people like this a break.

Here's a wild one: The mini-mansion at right, which was built by the ABC reality show "Extreme Makeover" in 2005 as a gift to an Atlanta-area family, appears headed for foreclosure. How do you lose a house that someone gave you as a gift on national television? According to the Associated Press, the family that owns the house took a loan against its value to start a construction business.

From Access Atlanta
:

"Things couldn't look better three years ago for Milton and Patricia Harper of Lake City, who giddily accepted the keys to a small castle, plus enough money to pay taxes on it for 25 years.

"Now, the Clayton County house that "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" built is a two-story, turreted example of how things can go wrong. It's in foreclosure.

The A.P.:

"After the Harper family used the two-story home as collateral for a $450,000 loan, it's set to go to auction on the steps of the Clayton County Courthouse Aug. 5. The couple did not return phone calls Monday, but told WSB-TV they received the loan for a construction business that failed.

"The house was built in January 2005, after Atlanta-based Beazer Homes USA and ABC's "Extreme Makeover" demolished their old home and its faulty septic system. Within six days, construction crews and hoards of volunteers had completed work on the largest home that the television program had yet built."

Evaluating the demographic #1

Ole Gordon has a buddy way up high in the republican party scrotum pole who has all kinds of documentation on various political demographics and how the party can reach those demographics.

These reports are not on your garden variety demographics like race, religion, sex etc. These reports on smaller, more finite groups around the country.

As time goes on, I'll gradually be leaking these reports as I get them.

Here's the first....

Name: Rock Stars

Description: Made up of established musicians in the rock and roll genre. This group contains an unusually high number of drug addicts (along with subsequent stints in rehab). Multiple marriages and sex partners are also part of this group’s demographic. There are also a great number of suicides/drug overdose fatalities in this demographic as evidenced by Kurt Cobain, Jimi Hendrix, John Bonham, Bon Scott, Keith Moon, Michael Hutchence, Janis Joplin, et al.

Current members of this group include but are not limited to John Mellencamp, Madonna, Bruce Springsteen, Jackson Browne, Michael Stipe, Anthony Kiedis, Amy Winehouse, Ted Nugent, Brittany Spears.

Estimated poll figures: Obama 99% - McCain 1%

What they are looking for in a candidate: For the most part, this is a group that resists authority. This may be due to strained relationships with record executives, producers, court systems, etc. As a result, they tend to lean towards political positions/candidates that allow them to express their artistic visions yet not hold them accountable for their actions; a perfect alignment with democratic principles.

How to impact the demographic: At this point in time, the GOP has a lock on Ted Nugent but that’s about it. In order for republicans to gain with this demographic, they’ll have to publicly acknowledge that self destructive drug and alcohol abuse is not only condoned but encouraged. In addition, the GOP will need to promote the virtues of divorce and unwed parenthood.

Cost/Benefit of drawing this demographic: Unless you want to score a C-130 full of cocaine and pass it out at the GOP convention; don’t bother.

Presidential quiz

From NRO
Pop quiz for the press corps. Which of the following phrases is not attributable to Sen. Obama?:

—"People of the world — this is our moment."

—"We are the change we've been waiting for."

—"I have become a symbol of the possibility of America returning to our best traditions."

—"I am the way and the truth and the life."

—"I am absolutely certain that generations from now, we will be able to look back and tell our children that this was the moment... when the rise of the oceans began to slow and our planet began to heal."

—"I am a ..Citizen of the World."

—"Vero Possemus."

Yeah, it'll be real tough to pin an arrogant, narcissist narrative on this guy.

You know this is fake

The one thing presidential republicans have done over time has been to effectively frame a narrative around the democratic opponent.

Not because of their astute political acumen but because democratic candidates make it so easy.

No one ever accused Slick of being an out of touch arrogant elitist. They we're able to pin him as a lyin', cheatin', scumbag.

And guess what? They were right.

No one has ever accused Obamamania of being a cheater because being an arrogant, elitist fits him to the "T". (where's my arugula?)

So when you see this picture of John Kerry with a bunch of young girls, you realize why it's so non news worthy. You couldn't fit a narrative about John Kerry foolin' round with young babes into a size 20 shoe.

My guess. These honey's were out for a bachelorette party and they thought they'd get a picture of them with the dorkiest guy in the room.

Congratulations John. You're it.

The humility candidate

From the Washington Post blog
In his closed door meeting with House Democrats this evening, presumptive Democratic nominee Barack Obama delivered a real zinger. According to a witness, he was waxing lyrical about last week's trip to Europe, when he concluded, "this is the moment, as Nancy [Pelosi] noted, that the world is waiting for."

The 200,000 souls who thronged to his speech in Berlin came not just for him, he told the enthralled audience of congressional representatives.

"I have become a symbol of the possibility of America returning to our best traditions," he said.

Well, at least we won't ever accuse him of being the symbol of political humility.

Where's daddy?

If you haven't followed the Caylee Anthony saga here's a short briefing....

Casey Anthony remains in jail on charges of child neglect, making false official statements and obstructing a criminal investigation. She is being held on a $500,000 bond and is a person of interest but has not been charged in Caylee’s disappearance, which prosecutors say is beginning to look like a homicide.

When Anthony and her family first reported Caylee’s disappearance on July 15, she told police the girl already had been missing for a month. She also claimed that Caylee had been taken by a baby sitter, who also vanished.

What strikes me as pathetic in this whole situation are the daddy's. Apparently, there aren't any.

To my knowledge, this baby's father hasn't shown up anywhere to look for this child. Caylee's grandfather hasn't been out front with the media.

In fact, the only male in this whole ordeal is Caylee's uncle, who has had his conversations with Casey taped.

It's pretty clear that this ding dong killed her own daughter and then disposed of the remains. I can't help but think that if there were some dads in this equation, that poor girl would still be alive.

Where's my apology?

The House apologizes for slavery

The House on Tuesday issued an unprecedented apology to black Americans for the wrongs committed against them and their ancestors who suffered under slavery and Jim Crow segregation laws.

"Today represents a milestone in our nation's efforts to remedy the ills of our past," said Rep. Carolyn Cheeks Kilpatrick, D-Mich., chairwoman of the Congressional Black Caucus.

The resolution, passed by voice vote, was the work of Tennessee Democrat Steve Cohen, the only white lawmaker to represent a majority black district. Cohen faces a formidable black challenger in a primary face-off next week.

When is the House going to apologize to me for stealing my money and giving it to Sam Donaldson under the guise of mohair subsidies?

We've been waiting for this endorsement

It's always important to let the world know that even though you are on trial for murder, you still support The Messiah for president.

From the LA Times

Today The Times' eagle-eyed Harriet Ryan spotted Phil Spector, the famous rock entrepreneur and infamous date, showing up for a court hearing in Los Angeles wearing a very obvious "Barack Obama Rocks" pin.

Spector, you may recall, has some continuing legal troubles having to do with an actress, Lana Clarkson, turning up dead in his house after a date five years ago.

Seriously, if you are an Obama supporter, do you ever look around and see all the goof balls and crack pots who support The Messiah and wonder why?

That's what I thought.

Who will he vote for? #24

Meet Patrick Dennler. Why is Patrick in the news?

On 6/2/08 Dennler pled guilty to Burglary 3rd Degree. Asst. Commonwealth's Attorney Alysha McKinney is recommending a 2 year prison sentence. Final sentencing is set for 7/8/08.

Let's assume Mr. Dennler is out of jail in November. When he votes, he will vote for....

Ralph Nader?
Bob Barr?
Obamamania?
John McCain?

By the way, from the photo, it's clear he was signaling his IQ to his jailers.

When government works

Stevens indicted

Sen. Ted Stevens, the longest-serving Republican in the U.S. Senate and one of the chamber's most powerful members, was indicted Tuesday in Washington for failing to disclose more than $250,000 worth of gifts that he received from businessmen who were seeking his help on federal issues and projects.

The seven-count indictment charges Stevens with making false statements by failing to disclose things of value he received from the VECO Corp., an Alaska-based oil services compmany, and from its CEO, Bill Allen, over an eight-year period.

The indictment charges that among the undeclared items were substantial improvements to Stevens' home in Girdwood, Alaska; automobile exchanges in which he received new vehicles that were worth far more than the old ones he exchanged; and household goods, including a Viking gas grill.

He's the poster child for term limits. Hopefully this indictment will end this bastard's time in the senate.

Global Warming Challenge update

Here's a couple of articles on the lunacy of those who worship at the alter of global warming. Apparently, they're having some cold weather down in Australia.

Climate mafia has us fooled

Our Earth cools slowly while professor babbles

The updated score to the global warming challenge through 7/28/08

Warm - 204

Cool - 222

If we are experiencing global warming, how is it possible for this score to occur?

There goes his career

From the American Thinker...

From the depths of liberal Hollywood, Academy Award winning actor Jon Voigt expresses thoughts not too common from that part of the country, that industry in a Washington Times Op Ed

The Democratic Party, in its quest for power, has managed a propaganda campaign with subliminal messages, creating a God-like figure in a man who falls short in every way. It seems to me that if Mr. Obama wins the presidential election, then Messrs. Farrakhan, Wright, Ayers and Pfleger will gain power for their need to demoralize this country and help create a socialist America.

The Democrats have targeted young people, knowing how easy it is to bring forth whatever is needed to program their minds.

And how does he know this? He admits the mistakes of his youth and those of many others of his generation, which resulted in horror for others.

I know this process well. I was caught up in the hysteria during the Vietnam era, which was brought about through Marxist propaganda underlying the so-called peace movement. The radicals of that era were successful in giving the communists power to bring forth the killing fields and slaughter 2.5 million people in Cambodia and South Vietnam. Did they stop the war, or did they bring the war to those innocent people? In the end, they turned their backs on all the horror and suffering they helped create and walked away.

I went through the indoctrination during my college years, so I can relate to this all to well.

When liberals run judiciaries

Let Iraq in the Olympics

The IOC has banned Iraq from Olympic competition.

The reason according to the WSJ
The country's sin, as described by the IOC, is to have changed the members of its national Olympic committee, awarding posts based on local political loyalties. This is an interesting accusation -- given that the previous chief of Iraq's Olympic effort was Uday Hussein, the son of Iraq's former dictator.

If Uday Hussein was acceptable to the IOC, why is the committee up in arms about the Iraqi government's decision to reshuffle its Olympic management team? The answer is that Iraq's new Olympic managers have not yet been accredited by the IOC. What will it take to get them accredited? Will they have to start torturing their athletes the way Uday used to do, when they failed to perform to his liking?

There is a lot more at stake here than the bruised egos of IOC bureaucrats -- who for the most part, owe their own appointments to political connections within their national governments. The mission of the International Olympic Committee is to provide support and coordination for an event that aims to bring nations together through sports. And Iraqi athletes have, in recent years, overcome overwhelming odds for a chance to join in the Games.

Many have come under attack from al Qaeda terrorists. In May 2006, for example, an Iraqi tennis coach and two players were shot to death for wearing shorts. Meanwhile, most Iraqi athletes have had to train for the upcoming games in a country where daily chaos and a dire lack of financial support and equipment made their efforts to qualify for some of the upcoming events all the more heroic.

While the athletes persevered in pursuit of the Olympic dream, a group of miffed bureaucrats have taken it upon themselves to dash their hopes, and issue a ruling that is bound to insult, and further depress, a nation that is struggling to emerge from years of war and deprivation to rekindle its rightful rank among nations.

For what's supposed to be a non political apparatchik, the IOC is one of the most corrupt, political organizations this side of the UN.

The IOC is what you get when an organization is not accountable to any elected government.

Remember Juan Antonio Samaranch? Fidel Castro could only dream of running a country as corrupt as this dildo. When the torch gets lit on 8/8/08, the IOC & NBC can rest assured I won't enable this cast of plutocrats.

Stealth socialism

From Investor's Business Daily
Election '08: Before friendly audiences, Barack Obama speaks passionately about something called "economic justice." He uses the term obliquely, though, speaking in code — socialist code.

During his NAACP speech earlier this month, Sen. Obama repeated the term at least four times. "I've been working my entire adult life to help build an America where economic justice is being served," he said at the group's 99th annual convention in Cincinnati.

And as president, "we'll ensure that economic justice is served," he asserted. "That's what this election is about." Obama never spelled out the meaning of the term, but he didn't have to. His audience knew what he meant, judging from its thumping approval.

It's the rest of the public that remains in the dark, which is why we're launching this special educational series.

"Economic justice" simply means punishing the successful and redistributing their wealth by government fiat. It's a euphemism for socialism.

I guess that's why all these socialist/marxist/communist love The Messiah so.

When liberals run healthcare

You may not be able to get the prescriptions you need but the state will at least give you the ability to off yourself.

From Fox news
Some terminally ill patients in Oregon who turned to their state for health care were denied treatment and offered doctor-assisted suicide instead, a proposal some experts have called a "chilling" corruption of medical ethics.

Since the spread of his prostate cancer, 53-year-old Randy Stroup of Dexter, Ore., has been in a fight for his life. Uninsured and unable to pay for expensive chemotherapy, he applied to Oregon's state-run health plan for help.

Lane Individual Practice Association (LIPA), which administers the Oregon Health Plan in Lane County, responded to Stroup's request with a letter saying the state would not cover Stroup's pricey treatment, but would pay for the cost of physician-assisted suicide.

"It dropped my chin to the floor," Stroup told FOX News. "[How could they] not pay for medication that would help my life, and yet offer to pay to end my life?"

The letter, which has been sent to other terminal patients throughout Oregon, follows guidelines established by the state legislature.

Newt on Detroit

In what might be the most profound and powerful presentations on the state of urban America, Newt actually pounds this one out.

Needless to say, the contents of this speech is what makes up the cornerstone of this blog.

Namely, under liberal leadership, all of our great American cities, by any measure, are absolute toilets.

What amazes me is how the GOP drops the ball on this paradigm. They could run an entire campaign by simply saying "Do you want the U.S. to look like (name your city)? well that's what democratic leadership does to a society".

Another Obama Communist sighting

In yet another communist relationship for Obamamania.

In a strange development, supporters of Barack Obama’s childhood mentor, Frank Marshall Davis, are openly debating the nature and depth of Davis’s commitment to the Communist Party and his relationship with the Democratic candidate. The debate has gotten heated.

This unusual debate, which is taking place on Obama’s official website, raises the question once again as to why Obama has not been asked by the major media about this relationship. Davis was identified as a Communist Party member by various investigative committees and acknowledged his party membership in a private letter obtained by John Edgar Tidwell, who was sympathetic to Davis and edited his books.

On one side of this debate is somebody claiming to be the son of Davis. On the other side is Alan Maki, a political activist and union organizer with a long history of involvement in left-wing causes. Indeed, Maki confirms that he has been a member of the Communist Party USA (CPUSA) and was a communist decades ago when he was in the Students for a Democratic Society (SDS).

Once again, if Obama's not a communist why the hell is he surrounded by so many?

What party are they?

From the PD

Up to 200 FBI and IRS agents are executing search warrants at the Cuyahoga County administration building, data center and engineer's office. They swept into the offices about 9 a.m., telling employees to shut down their computers.

The searches -- which extended to the homes of County Commissioner Jimmy Dimora and Auditor Frank Russo -- are part of a long-term public corruption investigation, according to an FBI spokesman. Agents also were seen at the office of DAS Construction in Cleveland.

The article conveniently ignores their political affiliation.

So the question is. What party are these guys?

Don't wrestle this guy

Of all the sports I ever participated in, wrestling was the worst.

Needless to say, I'm not picking up a match against this guy....

"progressive" volunteers

Last week, I showed a correlation between the bluest Ohio cities and the unemployment rate.

This week let's look at a map of volunteer rates around the country.

Maybe the reddest state in the country, Utah has the highest volunteering rate. And the bluest?

You pick it.... California or New York? Both are near the the bottom of the rung.

What's interesting about the map is that big ole flyover area which is predominately red.

What's so "progressive" about not volunteering?

Where's the change we can believe in?

Our inner city public schools have been a mess for over four decades now.

So how's Obamamania going to give us some hope and change for these failing schools.

From WSJ.

Mr. Obama told an interviewer recently that he opposes school choice because, "although it might benefit some kids at the top, what you're going to do is leave a lot of kids at the bottom." The Illinois Senator has it exactly backward. Those at the top don't need voucher programs and they already exercise school choice. They can afford exclusive private schools, or they can afford to live in a neighborhood with decent public schools. The point of providing educational options is to extend this freedom to the "kids at the bottom."

Huh?

Clue phone to Obama. Those people that have choices are already exercising them. But it's clear that the system doesn't work for those kids remaining.

But I guess that's fair, we can't have kids at "the top" benefit from some change. It's better when everyone can be at the bottom.

Now that's the change we can believe in.

Last Friday, I had a vision about a young black man being gunned down in the streets of Cincinnati. It turns out I was correct.... about three times.

Here

Here

Here

If we have a few more of these weekends, we'll get right back on pace for a homicide record.

For my next prediction, the feds will pursue an increase in the federal gasoline tax!

Why?

An unprecedented cutback in driving is slashing the funds available to rebuild the nation's aging highway system and expand mass-transit options, underscoring the economic impact of high gasoline prices. The resulting financial strain is touching off a political battle over government priorities in a new era of expensive oil.

A report to be released Monday by the Transportation Department shows that over the past seven months, Americans have reduced their driving by more than 40 billion miles. Because of high gasoline prices, they drove 3.7% fewer miles in May than they did a year earlier, the report says, more than double the 1.8% drop-off seen in April.

I think I'm going to give up the accounting business and go into palm reading.

Man kills with SUV.

I woke up this morning to read this Enquirer headline.

Man charged with killing wife with SUV

I guess you get extra time for using an SUV over a knife or a gun.

Just remember SUV's don't kill people.... Well if you're a liberal, I guess they do.
