The real public health scare

Getting lost in the ebola scare is the true public health threat enterovirus D68.

Is it a coincidence that this is showing up right after the immigration invasion and subsequent placement of these immigrants across the country?

Once again, Sharyl Atkisson is the only journalist with the fortitude to ask the question............

At least five children infected with the respiratory illness known enterovirus D68 (EV-D68) have died in the U.S. in the past month.
The lastest confirmed victim was a four-year-old New Jersey boy, Eli Waller. He died at home on September 25. The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) confirmed the cause of death Friday night. But health officials say they have no idea how he contracted the virus. A health official says Eli was “asymptomatic and fine” when he went to bed but died overnight. He had no known preexisting immune weakness.
CDC Overview of EV-D68
A 10-year girl Rhode Island girl infected with EV-D68, Emily Otrando, died less than 24 hours after being rushed to the hospital with breathing problems. Three other patients with EV-D68 also died in September.
The CDC reports that in the past month and a half, at least 538 people in 43 states and the District of Columbia have become ill with EV-D68. Most of them are children and some developed limb paralysis. Polio, which can cause paralysis and death, is a type of enterovirus. EV-D68 is one of more than a hundred “non-polio” enteroviruses.

Why would anyone believe the administration on the Ebola scare?

Just take these examples of administration lying.........

On student loans........
Eager to broadcast some good news approaching the midterm elections, the Obama administration recently announced a welcome dip in student loan defaults, from 14.7 percent for the 2010 cohort (loans taken out in that year) to 13.7 percent for 2011. Policymakers, alarmed about how our trillion-dollar student loan burden and soaring default rates are undermining our economic growth, cheered the report.
Unfortunately, it turns out the numbers are bogus.
In keeping with a White House that talks a good game on transparency but that is cloaked in secrecy, the Department of Education moved the goalposts at the last minute, changing how the default rates were calculated and thus sparing some colleges from tough penalties. It has so far refused to say which schools were given a reprieve, though it appears likely that black colleges were the major beneficiaries.

Or unemployment

A field supervisor in the Census Bureau’s Denver region has informed her organization’s higher-ups, the head of the Commerce Department and congressional investigators that she believes economic data collected by her office is being falsified.
And this whistleblower — who asked that I not identify her — said her bosses in Denver ignored her warnings even after she provided details of wrongdoing by three different survey takers. The three continued to collect data even after she reported them.
When I spoke with this whistleblower earlier this year as part of my investigation of Census, she told me that hundreds of interviews that go into the Labor Department’s unemployment rate and inflation surveys would miraculously be completed just hours before deadline.

Or the prostitution scandal

The lead investigator into the Secret Service prostitution scandal told Senate staffers that he was directed to delay the release of the report until after the 2012 election, according to a published report.
According to The Washington Post, David Nieland also said that he was instructed by his superiors in the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) inspector general's office to "withhold and alter certain information in the report of investigation because it was potentially embarrassing to the administration." He likely gave the account to aides on the Senate homeland security committee, which had looked into the case.
The Post also reported that senior White House aides were given information suggesting that a prostitute had stayed in the hotel room of a member of the White House's advance team, contrary to earlier denials that any member of the administration was involved.

Don't They Deserve the Dream?

The only journalist in America on the job

In my humble opinion, you can count the number of "journalists", media people willing to push back on the company line, on one hand...... Jake Tapper, Jon Karl, Ed Henry and that's about it.

Only one journalist is actually investigating anything. Sharyl Atkisson and she's getting dirty on the autism/vaccine story that no one will touch.

A former Centers for Disease Control (CDC) researcher, best known for his frequently-cited studies dispelling a link between vaccines and autism, is still considered on the lam after allegedly using CDC grants of tax dollars to buy a house and cars for himself.

Paul Thorson listed as a most-wanted fugitive by the Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General, was discredited in April 2011 when he was indicted on 13 counts of wire fraud and nine counts of money laundering. Some have argued that his alleged fraudulent behavior calls into question the validity of his studies. There is no indication the studies have been retracted to date.

According to the HHS Inspector General, “From approximately February 2004 until February 2010, Poul Thorsen executed a scheme to steal grant money awarded by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).”

CDC employed Thorsen as a visiting scientist from Denmark prior to awarding grants to Denmark to fund “research involving the relationship between autism and the exposure to vaccines” and other disabilities. Thorsen is accused of diverting over $1 million of CDC grant money, public funds, for his personal use.

“Thorsen submitted fraudulent invoices on CDC letterhead to medical facilities assisting in the research for reimbursement of work allegedly covered by the grants. “–HHS IG
Thorsen co-authored studies in the New England Journal of Medicine and Pediatrics concluding there is no link between autism and thimerosal used in vaccines nor between autism and the MMR vaccine.

The findings were consistent with the public messaging of his CDC grantor and of CDC director Julie Gerberding who went on to become president of Merck vaccines, heading up its $5 billion global vaccine market. Other peer-reviewed, published studies have found links between vaccines and autism, and the government secretly conceded a case of autism after its leading medical expert concluded the child’s multiple vaccinations caused brain injuries that resulted in her autism.

The war on working people

Democrats are all about the poor working guy..................except when they're not.

In March 2011, Democratic Sen. Mary Landrieu disregarded a union strike to cross a noisy picket line and give a speech to a business association that donated to her campaign, The Daily Caller has learned.
While members of the local chapter of the national Unite Here! union were in the middle of a cold, two-month outdoor protest against Madison Hotel’s policies, the senator and her staff drove into the hotel in a black SUV. (RELATED: Republicans Could Win Louisiana Outright… With A Tweak)
“I was standing on the sidewalk as her sedan was driven into the garage-like area of the hotel,” a conference attendee told TheDC. “I saw her look right at the protesters as she drove in. They were so loud and created such a presence that no one in a two block area could have missed them.”
