When believing in smaller government makes you a terrorist

Since when did believing in a smaller, affordable and accountable government make you a terrorist?

Well according to Joe Biden and the DNC I guess the date was 8/1/11.

And of course, the main stream media is picking right up on the talking point...........

You know what they say: Never negotiate with terrorists. It only encourages them.

These last few months, much of the country has watched in horror as the Tea Party Republicans have waged jihad on the American people. Their intransigent demands for deep spending cuts, coupled with their almost gleeful willingness to destroy one of America’s most invaluable assets, its full faith and credit, were incredibly irresponsible. But they didn’t care. Their goal, they believed, was worth blowing up the country for, if that’s what it took.

Like ideologues everywhere, they scorned compromise. When John Boehner, the House speaker, tried to cut a deal with President Obama that included some modest revenue increases, they humiliated him. After this latest agreement was finally struck on Sunday night — amounting to a near-complete capitulation by Obama — Tea Party members went on Fox News to complain that it only called for $2.4 trillion in cuts, instead of $4 trillion. It was head-spinning.

All day Monday, the blogosphere and the talk shows mused about which party would come out ahead politically. Honestly, who cares? What ought to matter is not how these spending cuts will affect our politicians, but how they’ll affect the country. And I’m not even talking about the terrible toll $2.4 trillion in cuts will take on the poor and the middle class. I am talking about their effect on America’s still-ailing economy.

Let me ask these question of people who believe that we're terrorists.

First, do you truly believe the government can continue on it's current spending pace?

Second, I get that you're big on tax increases. Imagine the most orgasmic tax increase in your universe. The government is currently running a 1.4 trillion dollar deficit. With only tax increases and no budget cuts that deficit would drop to what number?

Third, what exactly are the program cuts that are going to hurt the middle class ?

Fourth, Have you looked at your liberal Eurotopia bastions of Greece, Italy, Portugual? Their economies are swirling down the drain as a result of their government spending and inability to fund anymore. Do you really think the US is immune to the same?

Fifth, but maybe you're not as worldly as you claim to be. Have you seen the financial calamity in states like California and Illinois or cities like, well, just about every city. Their fiscal appetites are now coming home to roost.

Sixth, quite frankly, the worst part of this ceiling deal is that it isn't even close to being aggressive enough. We've got an 80 TRILLION dollar locomotive heading right at us. This deal was like spitting in the ocean. What is your plan to handle all those contingent liabilities?

Seventh, the second worst part of this bill is saving Obama from himself. To my knowledge, we're still waiting on his plan.

And yet we're the terrorists? The over the top hyperbole is why democrats continue to lose support. Nearly everyone with a job has had to belly up at the cash register to see some tattooed bimbo buying Spice and some "bath salts" using her government checks. People see that we're the sensible ones and they're wondering why you're so willing to go to the mat for all the derelicts in our society.
