One of the reasons is that they have to put up with this kind of BS. From Paul Daugherty.
Much discussion the past few days about the Loveland mother who sued the school district so her son could play football his senior year. The edited version:Kid nabbed by Loveland cops over the summer, for underage drinking. Cops report it to the school.
Per the school's conduct policy, kid suspended for 40 pct of the season, 4 games.
Mom hires lawyer, gets a judge to grant her son an injunction. Son who broke the conduct policy hasn't missed a game.
Loveland Schools' biggest concern, understandably, is what sort of teeth does its policy have, now that a judge has decided to take over school discipline? If your conduct code is challenged by every misguided parent out there, what's the use of having a conduct policy?
Now it seems to me that schools have enough problems without having to go to court each and every time they enforce a rule on a kid.
There's probably a reason this kid is a giant turd and she lives in his household.
