Gordon, you and I think very much the same. Matthews does nail this. And I bet 90% of Americans do to. I'm not against mexican immigrants coming in legally and doing work, maybe under a guest worker program. Yes they might take a job that a full fledged citizen might get, but don't forget that they also spend money when they are here, creating demand that could create a job for someone else. In the meantime, immigrants get to learn the privileges of citizenry, such as taxes, union dues, customer service at the DMV, public schools that teach everything but reading, writing and arithmetic, and bailing out companies a million times richer than you.

The solution to our immigration problem might just be to treat immigrants identially to how citizens are treated.

with respect, Matthews is on target regarding the implications of the court ruling but Mr. Thrill Up His Leg is way off on the immigration problem. the problem is immigrants here illegally, not immigrants here legally. when he understands that, then he might be more accurate regarding what should be done.

this country is screwed up in many ways and each of those ways needs to be addressed before the country will get back to being what is could be. enforcing the law is one of those ways.
