[McCain] also said Obama had the “most extreme” record in the Senate.Asked later if he thought Obama was an extremist, McCain said: “His voting record … is more to the left than the announced socialist in the United States Senate, Bernie Sanders of Vermont.”
Does McCain think Obama is a socialist? “I don’t know. All I know is his voting record, and that’s what people usually judge their elected representatives by.”
Of more interest to me are these socialist conferences he attended while in college. The Weekly Standard has more.
Do you think the apostles, aka the US media, will confront Obama about the shot?
Maybe they can ask those campaign workers with the Che posters on the walls.

Man I am so unimpressed by McCain. John, when they ask you a question as to whether obama is a socialist, just say yes. Obama wants socialized medicine, he wants to nationalize the energy industry, he wants higher taxes, price controls, more social services, and more government control of industry.
What is that if it's not socialist?
On the same note. And what's with the sacking of Phil Gramm? What Phil Gramm said was absolutely correct. We ARE in a mental recession. We ARE a nation of whiners. McCain could have gotten voters like me excited about his campaign if he stood behind those remarks in the proper way.
What Gramm basically said should have been interpreted as "Ask not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country." Instead McCain is letting the media drive his campaign and make the Gramm comment out to be something that was hurtful and insensitive. The fact that this alone caused Gramm's ouster is proof that the once resilient American people have allowed themselves to become thin-skinned, soft, and child-like; i.e. primed to vote democrat.
John McCain's harshest criticism seems to be saved for his own people and his highest praise seems to go to Obama. John, do you want to be president or just the next Bob Dole?!?!?
Amen brother.
