Meet Maurice Weaver.
Why is he in the news?
Maurice Weaver boasted to his friends that he wanted to kill someone when he turned 21.He missed his deadline by five days but succeeded in killing his best friend, an act that will cost Weaver 13 years behind bars.
Weaver, 21, initially was charged with murder but pleaded guilty today to the reduced charge of voluntary manslaughter and was sent to prison by Hamilton County Common Pleas Court Judge William Mallory.
Weaver and Williams, 27, were best friends who had been “play fighting” all day Sept. 25 – five days after Weaver turned 21.
