More signs of global warming

The high temperature of 70 degrees has been by far the coolest high temperature on record for July 18, according to the National Weather Service's Wilmington Office.

The old record, set in 1938, was 75.

Saturday morning's low temperature also tied the record.

That had been set in 1924, at 54 degrees.
