Even Ruth Marcus is starting to get it

I'm all for a more progressive tax code. But consider: The Tax Policy Center examined what it would take to avoid raising taxes on families earning less than $250,000 a year yet reduce the deficit to 3 percent of the economy by decade's end. The top two rates would have to rise to 72.4 and 76.8 percent, more than double the current level. You don't have to be anti-tax zealot Grover Norquist to think this would be insane.

C'mon Ruth I think you're underestimating the insanity of the democratic party........

Why stop at 76%? Let's raise the tax rate to 100%. That will bring in even more revenue. And while we are at it, let's raise minimum wage to $300/hr. And subsidize housing so that people can sell their houses at a profit. But not too much. We still want housing to remain affordable.

That's right. Let the government set all prices and taxes at a fair level. That will solve everything.
