Transitioning into Bush?

We're about four weeks into the Obamanation transition. Let's review.

1) He repeatedly criticized the Bushies for it's use of FISA legislation then voted for its continuation.
2) He says he's going to close Guantanamo, yet his AG candidate defended the Guantanamo Policy.
3) He repeatedly criticized the Bushie's Iraq policy, yet keeps Bob Gates on to continue it.
4) Talked all about windfall profits tax during the campaign; now he drops the idea.
5) During the campaign, he talked repeatedly about rescinding the Bush tax cuts. Now he'll delay.
6) They both voted for the 700 billion dollar bailout.
7) They'll both probably vote for an auto bailout.

We're in a recession; probably a big one. Yet the Obama response looks an awful lot like the same response the Bushies would have had. Why? Especially when these very policies caused this mess in the first place (allegedly).

Has anyone noticed that being around a democrat is like talking to the teenager who lives in your home. They know everything; especially all of your failings as a parent. It's so easy for the teenager who doesn't have any responsibilities like car payments, groceries, mortgages, utilities, insurance, tuition, etc. to criticize the one who does.

Yet, when it comes time to being a grown up, invariably they find out you weren't such dumb ass after all.

I can see The Messiah in closed door meetings telling his staff "shit, now I can see the crap this Bush guy had to put up with". To say it's sobering would be an understatement.

So while Ron Howard, can talk up the Bush-Nixon comparison all he wants, I wonder when he'll make his Obama-Bush comparisons.
