GERMAN soldiers are to be stationed in France for the first time since the Second World War, in a sign of ever closer military ties between the two historic foes.
A battalion of some 450-800 troops will probably be based near the north-eastern city of Strasbourg, but the two countries are still negotiating over the precise location, a diplomatic source said.
I think Hitler called his invasion "a sign of closer military ties".
No word yet on when the French will surrender.
