A 64-year-old Florence woman faces charges she cashed her dead mother’s Social Security checks for 13 years.
Janice Tanner was indicted Thursday by a federal grand jury for theft of public money, forgery, Social Security fraud and aggravated identity theft. She forged her mother’s name on checks totaling $164,673, according to an investigation conducted by the Social Security Administration.
So this past November, did Janice Turner pull the chain for The Messiah or The Maverick?
