This is what happens when you feed the bear marshmallows for 50 years. When you run out of marshmallows, the hungry bear is not thankful for 50 years of free treats. He is angry for the lapse in service.
I'm glad it hits the mark. I based this from a true story I heard in in cub scouts 30 years ago. It was about a hiker who fed marshmallows to a bear, ran out of them, and was subsequently mauled to death. The irony was not lost on me that the bear must have loved marshmallows, but did not realize that he just destroyed his only source for them.
The end if the story is that the bear could not forget the delicious taste of marshmallows. He forgot how to hunt for meat, and instead pursued humans until he had to be shot.
