Newspaper circulation

The latest newspaper circulation numbers are out and it doesn't look good for the business.

But once again, it's interesting that the media largely ignores some basic facts.

The more liberal a newspaper is perceived to be, the uglier the decline.

Most liberal paper in the US, the NY Times is down 3.9 percent. The WSJ, considered to be the US's most conservative paper, up .4 percent.

What exactly is so "progressive" about going out of business?

I can see more coupons or stuff that makes you want the paper. I can't see them writing more objectively.

I think online publishing only can raise these shrinking circulation numbers. In these days, most of the people using web and they are looking for online editions of all print editions. There are new technologies came in circulation and these new mediums will definitely thrive the readership rate. Companies like http://www.pressmart.net helping the print publishers to distribute over the new technology mediums. I think these kinds of services will really increase the revenues.
