Powerful stuff, Hope it ends up on TV.
Of course, the objections of the left are based on the notion that the Iraqis don't want us there (hence the talk of occupation), which isn't true in many cases. Of course, those cases getting media attention is deliberately near impossible.
Once you accept that the Iraqi people want us there and need us there in the short term, it's not a giant leap to understand why these soldiers are willing to sacrifice for a better world. It's no different than a fireman risking his life to save your neighbors daughter from a blazing fire at the risk of his own life.
Indeed, one could truly say that they are citizens of the world, something Obama claims to be, when they are willing to give their lives to benefit a people on the other side of the world, as well as their own nation.
Furthermore, once you have understand the rationalization for the Iraqi war, it makes an even stronger case for indicting the UN, NATO and the con artists involved with the oil for food scandals. These people, who were supposed to be doing this job, and protecting these people from madman did not do so, and instead chose to line their own pockets with money soaked in the blood of Iraqi citizens. They then chose to perch themselves on moral pedestals while the US did the work they were supposed to do.
