Cincinnati Police are investigating the deaths of two men who were found shot Sunday behind a residence in the 500 block of Hickory Street.Officers were called about 2 p.m. for a report of gunshot victims. They arrived to find 26-year-old Mario Elliott and 20-year-old Damiko Andrews.
A woman who lives in the building in front of the grass-covered common area where the bodies were found said she heard gunshots between 2-3 a.m. Sunday morning.
"I heard gunshots, but that's normal for Avondale," said Sherry Sims, 46. "We hear it so much, it doesn't faze me, I hate to say it."
Sims was standing on her porch with her two young children as police took down yellow tape and cleared the scene.
"I don't even look out the window," Sims added.
Just out of curiosity. When is the last time this area voted for a republican? You'd think that if you lived in a neighborhood where you couldn't even look out your windows, you might consider that the democratic leadership you've had for the past, oh, say, 40 years, probably isn't doing the job.
That should really be the campaign slogan for the democratic party, "Creating shit holes and managing them for the past 40 years. Just ask Detroit"
