Reeding, Righting and Rithmetic

Students at Trimble High School walked out of
class Thursday morning in protest of the schools decision to not allow students, who didn't pass the state TAKS (Texas Assessment of Knowledge & Skills), from taking part in the school's graduation ceremonies.

To the right, one of the picketers with the sign "Let Are Kids Walk"

Pictures might say a thousand words but at Trimble High, it looks like 250 are misspelled.

This same thing is going on in Ohio. A bunch of kids from the Toledo Public Schools protested the fact that, despite 3 years of trying, they could not pass the Ohio Graduation Test. One student even claimed she had a 4.0 gpa. Seriously, if you have a 4.0 gpa, you should have absolutely no problem with these tests. I passed all of the five topics when I was a sophomore. They aren't difficult.
