Ponzi Scheme Conviction

Jerry Ray Rose of Hamilton was convicted of a felony for running a Ponzi scheme.

A description of the activity.

"He ran a Ponzi scheme, with money coming in the front door as money went out the back door to current investors," Ferguson said. "He has acknowledged that he has taken in more than $10 million and is upside-down to investors, that is, short of paying them off by $5 million."

Rose's biggest mistake.... he committed his offense in Ohio. If he ran the social security system in DC, we'd call him Senator.
