The good news, the Hamilton County "Jail Tax" was beaten with a resounding thud 56%-44%.
In addition, the humungous CPS tax levy was beaten like a red headed step child 58%-42%
Even the small community of Loveland managed to put a beat down on an income tax increase for a rec center.
But note. Every one of these tax increases have been proposed before and they are not going away any time soon. You think the beat down the Jail tax took means it's going away? Remember last year? The increase was actually smaller than this one was.
It occurs to me that when a tax levy is rejected, it should take five years to bring it back. Otherwise, these things keep coming back like a bad horror movie. You'd like to think that you just killed the psychotic maniac after you just stabbed him, shot him seven times in the heart, set him on fire and pushed him off a seven story building.
Then you look over the edge of the building and see he's gone.
But don't worry, just like a tax levy..... He'll be back!
