Feels cold to me

Here's another article acknowledging the recent global cooling episode.

Excerpt
Some scientists contend the cooling is the result of reduced solar activity — which they say is a larger driver of climate change than man-made greenhouse gases.

Hellooooooooooo.

Who's been saying that since he's had his blog going......

Thank you very much.

Only in modern America does it make news that the sun warms the planet.

It's just one more piece of evidence that the global warming issue is more political than scientific...

Libs: "Look at what the scientists are saying!"

Me: "There are many scientists that refute that global warming is man made."

Libs: "That group just in the back pockets of their employer, Exxon."

Me: "Yeah, where are the rest of the scientists coming from?"

Libs: "Respected institutions. Universities, foundations, think tanks."

Me: "I rest my case. These are left biased institutions, comprised of individuals who don't want to, or couldn't, cut it in the private sector. Their livelihood depends on shifting as much wealth as possible from the private into the public sector.

If someone could show that increased government, reduction of capitalism, and elimiation of conservatism simply required proof that 1+1=3, the race would be on amongst universities, foundations and think tanks to prove that 1+1=3 (using a great deal of public grant money I might add). And in the end someone would triumph in their proof by only making a few assumptions about what the definition of "1" is.

Now look at theory of global warming. It promises increased government, reduction of capitalism, and elimiation of conservatism. Of course these left organisations will embrace it, whatever "it" happens to be.

No one really fully understands the science of global warming, but everyone understands the ramifications of the theory's acceptance. So you will forgive me if I'm just a little suspect of the motivations of the global warming crowd."

Libs: "All I know is that last summer it was really hot, and something needs to be done about it."

Thanks for the excellent comment.

I just read an article that the libs are trying to change the terminology to "climate change" as if your average red stater can't see the manipulation.

As long as we keep in mind what the true goal behind this whole theory is, it will be much easier to see the tactics such as use of the "climate change" phrase.

If you think about it, global warming is the perfect tool for the libs to use to dismantle everything they hate: free markets, capitalism, personal freedom, economic profit, etc.

Why?

1. It's too complicated to really prove, which means it can't be disproven.

2. It's effects are gradual. Steady temps for the next quarter century and they'd still claim it's coming. Plenty of time to wear down the masses.

3. The effects are presumably going to be several decades out, giving a chance for the old classic "passing the problem on to our children" logic.

4. You can't get a better punching bag than Exxon. The average Joe is convinced that a huge carbon tax on big oil would only hurt about 5 CEO's and have no ripple effect on anyone else.

5. Once people buy into this theory, they become convinced that government is the only solution. And in the end, I think that that is what is driving everything.
