Life in "Progress" State

They called it Paradise
The place to be
They watched the hazy sun
Sinking in the sea

From the Golden State of California, where there hasn't been a conservative elected to state office since Stanford was a college football power...........

Power-hungry TVs will be banned from store shelves in California after state regulators adopted a first-in-the nation mandate to lower electricity demand.

On a unanimous vote, the California Energy Commission on Wednesday required all new televisions up to 58 inches to be more energy efficient beginning in 2011. The requirement will be tougher in 2013, and only a quarter of all TVs on the market currently meet that standard.

Seriously, let's forget the fact that California has bigger and better issues to conquer right now, what do you think is going to be the net effect of this ruling.

My guess? First, there's going to be a flood of TV retailers open right outside the California state lines where you'll be able to buy a TV for about half the price of what TV's in California will sell for.

Second, if you are an electronics retailer in California, look to move and take your filthy jobs with you.

What's so "progressive" about being mentally challenged?
