Scattershot efforts to stem the tide of moving vans, from street repaving in Cadillac to a Web site in Detroit, have so far failed to slow the Michigan Exodus.About 109,000 more people left Michigan than moved in last year, quadruple the loss of seven years ago. Many of those are young, college-educated workers, exactly the kind of people Michigan needs to rebuild.

Granholm . "The governor has made it very clear how challenging it is when you have an economy based for a hundred years on one industry, and you have changes that have impacted (that) industry."
If you are a liberal you know what you need to keep these people from fleeing?
A tax increase....Here's the sick part of democratic rule. Democrats are excellent at taking over an area; turning it into an absolute cesspool and then using the cesspool as excuse for continuing their rule.
As I remember Charles Barkley once saying. "Geez, we keep voting for democrats and we keep being poor. Maybe we ought to vote for someone else."
Naaaahhhh.
Because we all know it's Bush's fault.

Blame Bush then raise the taxes to punish those evil job creating businesses. If that doesn't work then regulate them to death and then blame Bush, raise taxes and punish business.

And when you have politics based for a hundred years on one party.
And that party has done everything in it's power to keep it a town based on "one industry".
And that party has made it impossible for that "one industry" to remain competitive.
And that party can't have a city counsel meeting without it looking like a three ring circus.
And the only thing keeping the brain drain out of Detroit from moving at a faster pace is that people can't sell their houses.
Liberalism. Turning America into a gigantic cesspool, one toiletboal at a time.
