Life in "Progress" City - Youngstown edition

The Gekko's spent the weekend in Youngstown/Warren for a family visit. You may remember Youngstown as the home of democrats and union leadership and subsequent home of rust, unemployment and Carmine the Bookie after said leadership.

My in law's are a perfect example of how people flee the confines of democratic leadership. The Lovely Mrs. Gekko is one of ten children. Of those ten children all of one of those kids still live in the area. All the rest moved to areas of the country where they could find things like good jobs.

I had planned to take some footage of the area but my camera ran out of juice during our family commitments. Let's just say the above photo encapsulates the area today.
