From the "if you stand for nothing, you'll fall for anything" department....

If we didn't know better, we'd say the news out of England suggests the British are hell-bent on killing their civilization. But, of course, we do know better — don't we?

Last month, we lamented the emergence of "another sign that much of England has given up on being England." The cause of our grief were reports that Christian preachers in England had been warned by a police community support officer that trying to spread the gospel in a Muslim neighborhood is a hate crime.

While it's shocking at how far the West will go to avoid offending Muslims, it's downright discouraging to see how weakly it defends its own culture. It's as if the developed world is ashamed of its progress and the institutions that formed the foundation of its development.

Worse than a fear of offending a religious group is what appears to be an eagerness to simply give up and accept the fact that Islam is overrunning the West and we can't do anything about it because it would be intolerant, arrogant, hegemonic, racist and just plain mean to try to preserve our culture.

The fact is there is a world war brewing between three world views. Those opposing factions are
1) Judeo Christian, free market, American republics.
2) Atheistic, socialist, European style democracies.
3) Islamic, totalitarian, dictatorships.

Trust me. If your community/culture/country falls into second category, like much of Europe, you're going to be number three in a few generations.
