That's what I call efficiency

Friday night's DUI checkpoint near Franklin stopped 900 cars and six were cited including five DUI's.

Was it worth it.

On a Friday night, from 11:00 pm until 3:00 in the morning they could only collar five DUI's.

Well Gordon, at least the got five drunks off the road.

That's my point, all the man power wasted on these stupid checkpoints could have been spent actually patrolling the highways and nailing the offenders. With the number of cops, assigned to these check points they would have gotten many more DUI offenders and one's that are much more dangerous.

Let's face it, these check points are a waste of time and energy. Because they have to be disclosed in advance, people just commute around them and the man power that could have been used to nab the drunks are sitting at a checkpoint citing drivers for seatbelt violations.

So, until they give these damn things, up you'll always be able to find out the latest check point right here on taxmanblog.
