Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton, D-N.Y., wants to reward you for having a baby.
The plan goes like this. Every baby born receives $5,000 placed in an account. As the money accrues interest, the child can later use the proceeds for a college education or to help finance a home. The cost? Sen. Clinton doesn't know. Will U.S.-born children of illegal aliens be eligible? No word on that yet. Who pays? Don't know.

Who pays? Everyone. Yes, Hillary will say that wealthy and businesses will pay some type of tax. But all that will do is reduce their these entities' spending/saving power, which will reduce their investment into businesses, hiring, spending and saving. So fewer jobs will result and will affect middle and lower income people in the end. In tern it will enhance the need for the $5000 entitlements for all. A self fulfilling prophesy with the only net winners being Hillary who get to be gatekeeper to more of our own money.
I think it's a great idea. And if the child doesn't go to college and say gets into trouble, it can be used to pay for the lawyer instead of a public defender.
