Just say no

If I hear of an upcoming tax levy or state issue that I'm not sure about, many times, I just look to see who's for and against the issue and I can make up my mind fairly quickly.

Hamilton County, OH has an upcoming sales tax hike to support construction of a new jail.

At least that's how it's presented to the public. This morning I found the local rag (not on line to date) with the headline

Ex-NAACP presidents endorse tax

The NAACP is for a jail tax? If you think something is awry here, you would be correct.

The tax is not just for a jail. It's for a jail and other programs.

I think that should solidify my vote now.
